Waterfalls of Sri Lanka

Baker's waterfalls, Hortan Plains
The Baker's waterfall is a small (around 20m) but beautiful waterfall on a tributary of the Belihul-oya river, which is named after Sir Samuel Baker, who explored this area. The Baker's fall maintains the flow throughout the year, making it one of the rewarding scene along the 9.6 km nature trail that leads to the "World's End" in the Hortan Plains National Park.

St. Clairs waterfalls, Thalawakele
St. Clair's waterfall is a fascinating and broad waterfall cascaded of two falls surrounded by a lush green environment, located in Thalawakele. It is the most inviting scenary along the Colombo - Nuwareliya A7 highway through Avissawella. The waterfall can be reached by walking down the footpaths leading to the waterfall from the highway through tea plantations (about 500 m).

Devon's waterfalls, Thalawakele
The Devon's waterfalls is a gigantic and beautiful waterfall with three consequent uninterrupted cascades surrounded by evergreen hilly environment. It is a 97 m high waterfall located in the close proximity of St. Clairs waterfalls of Thalawakele (Nuwareliya district) along the A7 highway.

Hellboda waterfallsHellboda waterfalls is located by the side of Kandy - Nuwaraeliya A5 highway, attracting the passers by.

Ramboda waterfallsRamboda waterfalls is another waterfall by the side of A5 highway. Indeed there are three consequent waterfalls with known as Ramboda waterfalls, and the photo above shows the second fall close to the road.

Poona-oya waterfallsPoona-Oya waterfalls is a twin falls that can be seen at a distance from the observation point along the A5 highway.
